Season Cost Breakdown 7th-HS

$850 for new athletes

$800 for returning athletes

*Returning athletes must have participated on a spring or fall 2021 Fusion team*

The main goal of the spring season is to expose our athletes to the top competition in their respective age groups by traveling to top local, state and regional tournaments. The spring AAU season is ideal for serious athletes with a specific focus on basketball and elevating their games to the next level. We are looking for committed, hard-working individuals to join our organization for the upcoming spring AAU season. The season commitment will consist of 2 team practices/week and a minimum of 6 tournaments.

Please NOTE that once you accept a roster spot on one of our spring teams that you are not permitted to participate for any other basketball programs (travel or AAU) for the spring season. Fusion Elite Basketball should be the main priority. Any player caught playing on a different team or suspected of doing so will be removed from our program permanently.

The season will run from March through June. Teams will begin practicing in March.

Our teams are based out of Monmouth County. We will be using facilities in Red Bank and Rumson for practices and workouts. Commitment and attendance to team practices and workouts is mandatory, lack of commitment or 2 unexcused absences will lead to immediate dismissal of the team.

We pride ourselves on being NJ's #1 Youth developmental Basketball program. At Fusion Elite we take pride in providing quality coaching. Both of our coaches are former collegiate athletes that share the same passion, dedication, commitment and knowledge for the game. We are committed to providing the necessary training; including fundamental skill development that lays the groundwork to excel and succeed at the next level. Both coaches have 20+ years of coaching experience. We take coaching very seriously; we ask that parents allow the coaches to do ALL of the coaching while ONLY offering positive feedback. Please give us the opportunity to provide a safe, fun environment that will best help in your athlete’s development.

Team Practice Commitment and attendance to team practices and workouts are required, lack of commitment or 2 unexcused absences will lead to immediate dismissal of the team. Fusion Elite practices are designed to challenge each player. Practice is essential to improving and we believe this is where player and team development and improvement occurs. Teams will practice a minimum of 2 times/week from the months of March - June. Coaches may add team workouts or practices before major tournaments or on off weeks. We will give as much notice as possible, but it is expected that every attempt is made to attend every practice & workout, on time. Every attempt will be made to have practices on the same days each week.

We expect every athlete to attend every practice and game. Athletes must attend practice to get playing time in games! Any known conflicts for practices or games should be told to the coach immediately. Missed practices are considered unexcused if notified the day of. More than 1 unexcused practice in a season does result in immediate removal from the team. Missing the practice before a tournament does effect playing time. We expect that every attempt be made to attend every practice.

If your athlete is not feeling well, they will need a Dr's note to return depending on the symptoms. If your athlete is injured enough to have to miss practice, they will need a Dr’s note to return. We do not accept parent diagnosis. We understand that kids get hurt sometimes however we do expect your athlete still come and sit in on practice or support at the games even if they cannot participate.

Travel: Travel is a part of AAU. Our organization attracts kids from all over Monmouth and Middlesex counties. Practices and workouts for our teams are held out of our Red Bank and Rumson locations. We do our best to stick to the practice schedule once it’s set however changes do happen at times out of our control where we may have to resort to another facility. Tournament travel varies as we will participate in local, state & regional tournaments.

Fundraising/Sponsorship: We believe that every athlete deserves the opportunity to learn and play the game of basketball with no obstacles. We hold several fundraisers throughout the year (a couple each season) to help assist with our scholarship fund to keep local Red Bank kids involved as well as keeping our prices reasonable. We will be doing 2 fundraisers this coming spring season that we expect every athlete to raise/donate a minimum of $200. We will be selling $10 pool boxes for the 2022 Final Four which will offer 8 chances to win! We expect each athlete to sell/donate a minimum of 10 boxes/$100. We will also be doing a fan gear fundraiser where we will be asking each athlete to sell a minimum of $100 worth of fan gear. If you are interested in sponsoring an athlete or team contact Coach Frost.

Parents: We take coaching very seriously; we ask that parents allow the coaches to do ALL of the coaching while ONLY offering positive feedback. Please give us the opportunity to provide a safe, fun environment that will best help in your athlete’s development. Conduct during games from parents is expected to remain respectful, positive and supportive at all times to all athletes, coaches, refs, fans & facilities operators. Please keep in mind you are representing way more than yourself and your family at these events. We have a zero-tolerance policy for negative, disruptive parents. You will be removed and asked not to return.

If an issue arises regarding playing time or coaching decisions, we ask that you do not approach our coaches directly following any practice or game. We are absolutely open for discussion and encourage you to request a meeting. This request should not come within 24 hours of the contest as emotions can be high. We will do our best to honor that meeting request within 72 hours.

At no point is a parent, family member, family friend or fan approach a coach during, before or after a game for any reason regarding their athlete unless there is an injury or health concern that the coach should be made aware of.

Every parent should only worry about their athlete. Our policies and guidelines are very clear and strictly enforced across the board – if an athlete is part of our organization they are in complete compliance and within my guidelines.

By committing to Fusion Elite Basketball for the spring season you are not able to participate with any other AAU organization for the length of the season. We ask that athletes only attend tryouts with the intent on being able to fully commit to all practices & games.***Baseball and Lacrosse are HUGE conflicts with our spring season, we offer plenty of other programs year round so we ask that you consider a different program option or different season. Our next competitive AAU season will be held Fall 2021.

Our philosophy, great basketball players aren't born, they are developed.

We are looking forward to another competitive, successful AAU season
